It was another fun year at the Henry B. Falcon Golf Tournament on October 7, 2022, at Plantation Palms Golf Course. Special thanks to Steve Hurley at Stingray Chevrolet and the Unity in the Community group for a well-organized tournament that hopefully raised lots of money for their charity.
The eight players from Tampa Bay Vettes were on time and ready to go. We started at 8AM, one half hour early. The play was a four-man scramble. There were tubs of cold drinks at each hole so we didn’t get dehydrated.
Tickets were available to purchase for other door prizes. John Garzon won a safe and Harry Darling won a bucket of car products. Lunch was BBQ ribs, potato salad, baked beans, with a roll. A variety of cookies were offered for dessert.
As teams, we held our own, but we did not win any prizes for playing. We also did not make any contributions to the gator in the pond. It was a beautiful day with good friends supporting a very worthwhile charity.
Thanks to all the players who participated from our club. Thanks again to Steve Hurley at Stingray and the Unity in the Community group.
Looking forward to next year!
